Field Office Chief
Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Mr. Ward is the Field Office Chief (FOC) for the DCSA Herndon 1 Field Office. He oversees a team of 7 Industrial Security Specialist (ISS) who are responsible for ensuring the protection and proper safeguarding of classified information in hands over 700 plus cleared defense contractors. This includes helping cleared industry create security programs that implement Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, and Counterintelligence needed to maintain compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Mr. Ward started his career with the Defense Security Service (formally DCSA) in 2010 as an ISS for 5 years becoming a Subject Matter Expert in the security elements of International, Foreign Ownership Control or Influence (FOCI) and Special Access Program (SAP). He was promoted to the position of Capital Region Action Officer in 2015 where he helped implement and support 7 DCSA FOs within the National Capital Region to meet agency operation requirements. He again was promoted in 2019 where he is currently in the position of FOC. Mr. Ward has a Bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the University of Kentucky. Mr. Ward is married to his wife Clarissa and has two amazing little girls Hailey 5 and Hannah 2.
